My Healed Soul

MY SOUL HEALED AND IN THE RIGHT HANDS…

As adults we make 35,000 remotely conscience decisions a day, that’s about 1 every 2 seconds.  On average parents say “no” to their children 8395 times per year.  Findings from another survey found we spend an average of 3 hours a day deciding what to eat, what to wear, what to watch on TV and what time to go to bed.

Deciding what to eat and watch on TV were found to be the most difficult decisions to make on a daily basis.  The survey also reported that we change our minds twice per decision.  Some 11% are even more undecisive and confessed to change their minds 5 or more times in making one decision.

After many years of adult life and making approximately 511,000,000 decisions, I realized I had been wrong with the most important decision of my life.  “After prudent soul searching, I asked myself my final question. “What if I have been wrong all of these years in my decisions to heal or save my soul?” Have you ever asked yourself that soul searching question? Be quiet, be still and ask yourself,

“Have I been wrong all these years in my quest for the meaning of my life?”   Why my Soul was so broken

I have asked myself this question thousands of times. “What is the meaning of life for me?” For the first time in many years I answered my tired soul, “I have been wrong for all these years filling my soul with mistaken salvation. Finally, my eyes could see and my heart could understand the answer to the greatest question of life’s journey, “What is the meaning of life.” My answer was very clear to my life long quest.

It came to me as a rock bottom plea to the God of the universe. I humbly cried to the living God of the universe for forgiveness for my wrenched life. I begged for intimacy with the God that created me. I prayed for the desire to live God’s will for me in my life, not my prideful, miserable, pagan will that I had failed at for so long.

I now see that God created all of us to love and serve Him and to live His will for the earthly part of our eternal life. (Yes, it began at our conception.) We are also commanded to love God with all our heart, soul, strength and mind. Jesus (I didn’t forget Him), added one commandment, “to love your neighbor as yourself” which was a pretty tall order for a lost soul like myself.

Well, you may laugh and not believe any of this but, “What if you have been wrong all these years?” in your quest for the meaning of life. If you can bet your life in eternity on it, have at it. I’m not gambling anymore…peace. We do not work our way to heaven.

THESE ARE THE ANSWERS TO THE FINAL TEST OF MY LIFE. IT IS THIS SIMPLE…

Jesus, the living Savior of the Universe, often spoke in parables.  Be A Man, read the few words that God has written in the Bible to help us navigate this crazy world we live in.

What did Jesus say about parables?
In Matthew 13:13, Jesus says, “This is why I speak to them in parables: ‘Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand.’

Jesus’s parables served two purposes: to reveal truth to believers and to conceal truth from non-believers. Jesus explains his dual purpose to his disciples this way: “The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.

We learn that spiritual blindness comes from having a hardness of heart; this was the main problem with the Pharisees as evidenced by Matthew 23. They could not see the Truth although He was standing right in front them.

The Purpose of the Parables
Matthew 13:10-17  Then the disciples came and said to him, “Why do you speak to them in parables?” 11And he answered them, “To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. 12For to him who has will more be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who has not, even what he has will be taken away.

13This is why I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. 14With them indeed is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah which says: ‘You shall indeed hear but never understand, and you shall indeed see but never perceive.

15For this people’s heart has grown dull, and their ears are heavy of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should perceive with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and turn for me to heal them.’ 16But blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear. 17Truly, I say to you, many prophets and righteous men longed to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.

Why Jesus Speaks in Parables
Matthew 13:34-35  34 All this Jesus said to the crowds in parables; indeed he said nothing to them without a parable. 35This was to fulfil what was spoken by the prophet:  “I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter what has been hidden since the foundation of the world.”

The Parable of the Sheep and the Goats

Matthew 25: 31-45  31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. 34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.”

35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ 37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you?

39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ 40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ 41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

Hopefully, if you have read this far your eyes are open about eternity.  Our life here on earth is very short. Why don’t you live it the right way for a change.  What you will find is that the two forces of the universe, good and evil, are both fighting for your eternal soul.  You owe yourself a good life, now and forever…

The God of the Universe will give us exactly what we love the most on our judgement day. OOPS…

Pretty heavy parable, if you ask me. In the end, we will be judged by how we loved. We are called to love one another, called by the man Himself. You may or may not believe this but why don’t you take stock in your life today and I hope the reality hits you in the head like it did me.

We may know a lot off things about Jesus but we may never know Him in an intimate relationship. Jesus calls us to live a surrendered life to Him and get to know Him intimately. It is a very tall order but eternity is a very long time.
